How long does Performance Max take to produce reliable results?+

Google's algorithm requires approximately 50 conversions per asset group to exit the learning phase. In practice this means 4–8 weeks of data collection before performance stabilises. During this period, ROAS may look inconsistent — that is normal and expected, not a sign the campaign is failing.

Can Performance Max replace my existing Search campaigns?+

We do not recommend replacing Search campaigns with Performance Max entirely. Search campaigns give you keyword-level control and clear attribution that Performance Max's black-box reporting cannot match. The most effective approach is running both and allocating budget based on where ROAS is strongest.

How do you prevent Performance Max from spending on irrelevant placements?+

Through brand exclusions, URL exclusions, and category exclusions where Google allows them.
